Two Person Best Ball League
Overview
This is a fun and competitive 2-person team league. Teams are comprised of 2 men, 2 women or a man and a woman. Individuals not having a partner when registering for the league will be assigned a partner by the clubhouse as available. Each participant must have an active GHIN, and 100% of their course handicap is used for each match.
Format
The competition format is 2-person best ball gross and net. Each person plays their own ball and records their score. The best gross and net score from each hole is used to determine the team’s final score.
Venue
The league plays 9 holes weekly on Monday afternoons at 1 PM with a shotgun start.
Teeing Ground
Men and women make their tee selection known and their course handicap is computed weekly based on their GHIN and tee selection.
Weekly Entry Fee and Prize
Each team contributes a $15 weekly entry fee (in addition to greens fee for non-members). $10 of the entry fee goes to the low gross and net prize pools which are paid out in golf shop credit. The remaining $5 of the entry fee goes to the closest-to-the-pins prize pool which is paid out in cash.
Non-Member: $28+tax(Greens ,Cart Fee)

Individuals shooting closest-to-the-pins on each of the PAR 3’s (cash)
Rules
All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf with the following exceptions:
- Preferred lies in your own fairway – lift, clean & place no closer to the hole
- Preferred lies in un-raked sand traps – lift, clean, rake & place no closer to the hole
- Relief from tree roots – lift, clean and place at nearest point not affecting swing or stance no closer to the hole
- The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes Management has the option to invoke a local rule at their discretion.
Sign Ups
- You can sign up on the Hilton Head Lakes website under the Leagues Tab, when you get into the leagues tab on the website please select HHL Co-Ed League. That will take you to the Sign up Genius please provide your name and your partners name along with your handicap Index.
